Okkur Church - CSI

  • This building was ruined by a storm in 1977. It was newly constructed by TCIC in 2008, with capacity to accommodate 250 attendees.
  • Currently about 100 believers from 8 villages gather on Sunday mornings for worship
  • The church helps the believers to grow more spiritually and also use their talents for God’s glory
  • One of the believers, has been ordained as a pastor
  • Since the missionary home is beside the church, the dioceses appointed minister is able to stay and reach out to the nearby villages
  • This has helped build their self-esteem and they feel recognized by the community.
  • On the day of dedication, there were 30 young adults who received confirmation.

Vallam Church - AG

  • No building existed, but they owned the land.
  • By partnering with Assemblies of God, TCIC built the church in 2012, with capacity to accommodate 250 attendees.
  • Number of believers attending are growing, they have also started 2 satellite churches to accommodate the other areas.
  • Currently worshipping every Sunday, with bible study, Sunday school etc.
  • This has helped build their self-esteem and they feel recognized by the community.

Navalpoondi Church - CSI

  • The old church built in 1980 was ruined. with partnership with dioceses, TCIC was able to rebuild a new church in 2013, with capacity to accommodate 250 attendees.
  • The attendees of this church are mainly daily wages labourers, the church is open daily for them to spend some time in church before they go to their work. They feel blessed by this opportunity to spend time in God’s presence.
  • This has helped build their self-esteem and they feel recognized by the community.

Alakudi Church - CSI

  • Believers were gathering in a destructed church, partnering with dioceses of CSI, TCIC was able to rebuild a new church in 2014, with capacity to accommodate 250 attendees.
  • This church is blessed to with a devoted man of God, who works hard for this church.
  • It has an ordained Pastor to conduct baptisms, weddings and funerals.
  • Vacation Bible Schools is being conducted every year since 2014 in the church with the sponsorship of TCIC.
  • This has helped build their self-esteem and they feel recognized by the community.

Vellippalayam Church – Lutheran

  • TCIC contributed to build the church, currently under construction.

Bethesda Home - Lutheran church’s Orphanage

  • It’s a home for 110 physically and/or mentally challenged women and children
  • Taken care by 10 devoted sisters with some assistants
  • Since 2002 TCIC has been involved in many ways
  • TCIC reconstructed the ruined toilets, kitchens, roof and compound wall
  • TCIC since 2002 has been sponsoring Christmas dinner, a set of clothes and a gift to all the sisters, assistants, children and the women there.
